Ingest Dronetag RIDER

The Ingest Dronetag RIDER tab allows administrators to link incoming data from Dronetag RIDER devices to existing assets in UNIFY.C2.

Setup Instructions
  1. Create Assets
    • Navigate to Monitor → Sensor & Effector Assets → Detail and create assets for each Dronetag RIDER device you intend to integrate.
  2. Configure MQTT Forwarding on the Dronetag Integration Portal.
    • Confirm your RIDER is registered in your Dronetag app and your integration account is registered under the same email.
      • Add New Distribution:
        • Connection Type: MQTT Client
        • Target URI/Host: [Your Host]
        • Target Port: [Your Port]
        • Connection config JSON:

        • Output Format: DUMP JSON
        • Throttle Messages: 1

Main Table View

The tab displays a table of configured sources with the following columns:

  • MQTT Connection String
  • Username
  • Asset ID
  • Actions (e.g., delete or modify source)
The Asset will display:
  • Green if the Dronetag is actively sending data packets
  • Red if the Dronetag is offline or not detected
Adding New Source

Click ADD NEW DRONETAG RIDER SOURCE to open a popup with the following fields:

  • MQTT Connection String:
    • mqtts://[IP or domain of MQTT server]
  • Username
  • Password
  • Select Asset (Dropdown) – Select an existing asset to connect as the heartbeat source
    • ADD NEW ASSET – Optional button that allows the user to create and connect a new heartbeat asset directly from the popup
    Click ADD NEW DRONETAG RIDER SOURCE to save the entry and add it to the table, or click CLOSE to cancel.
Mobile Location

Link your RIDER to your user location:

  • 'Share My Location' must be enabled
  • Select your asset to link to your dynamic location
    • This feature is most effective when enabled on your mobile device
